The work Pat STEIR has realized for PIÈCE UNIQUE breaks the tradition of exposition of this place literally based on unicity : following naturally the sequences of light and darkness, the painting shows alternately a day face and a night one.
This artifice, more than interpreting acutely the identity of that space, displays how the pictorial research of Pat STEIR is based on the encounter with Nature taken as a sensitive source of an energy which becomes language. A language in continuous movement which does not tend to fixity or to the quietness of contemplation but creates, through an evident dynamism, an image that seems to rise under the spectators eyes.
Pat STEIR is a natural artist ( not naturalist ) not because the images of her works "proceed" from Nature but because they possess its rythm and freedom.
