Nino LONGOBARDI ( 1994 ) "UNTITLED" 1994 To the lack of centre which marks spectacularity and its images, Art sends back its own centrality. Nino Longobardi’s painting is a monumental work with an earthly and physiologically materiel appearance which soaks the space to become its protagonist, central pivot. This work however is a deviation with regard to Longobardi’s typical language, essentially characterized by the figure. By virtue of the multiplication of the image, of its centrifugal force, the centre generates a multitude of centre generates a multitude of centres which cancels the certainty of seeing, which generates an insufficiency that allows indeed to loose the orientation and find oneself on the side of art.
